Patios and Hardscape

The built parts of the yard - patios, paths, walls and fire pits - are what turn a lawn into an outdoor room. Ours are built on real base work.

What we build

  • Paver patios sized for how you actually entertain
  • Walkways that connect the yard's story
  • Fire pits and seating walls
  • Retaining walls - engineered, drained and built to hold
  • Outdoor kitchen bases and grill surrounds
  • Steps, stoops and borders

The base is the build

Every heaved, wavy patio you've walked on failed underground - skimpy base, no compaction, poor drainage. Ours start with proper excavation, geotextile where soils demand it, compacted base in lifts and correct bedding. The pavers are the last inch; the first eight are why it's still flat in fifteen years.

Walls get the same discipline: base, batter, drainage stone and perforated pipe. A wall without drainage is a slow-motion collapse with your name on the invoice - we don't build those.

Common questions

Pavers or poured concrete?

Pavers repair invisibly, flex with freeze-thaw and look richer; concrete costs less up front. For patios you'll live on for decades, we usually argue pavers - and we'll show you both prices.

How big should a patio be?

Size to the furniture and the crowd: dining for six needs roughly a 12x14 zone; add lounge or fire space accordingly. We lay it out with paint on the actual lawn before you commit.

When can we use it?

Immediately - that's the paver perk. Party the same weekend.
